Please carefully review these Terms of Service before accessing or using this website.
When you engage with the LegalityLink.com, Inc. website (hereafter referred to as the "Website") or utilize any LegalityLink applications or their add-ons ("Applications"), you are committing to adhere to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and to observe all relevant laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the export and re-export control laws and regulations of the United States. Within these Terms, the terms "you" and "your" are used to identify any client, visitor to the site, or user of the Applications; "we", "us", and "our" denote LegalityLink.com, Inc.; and "Services" encompasses all services we provide.
You are obliged to periodically check these Terms of Service for updates. Should you at any point consider these Terms of Service to be unacceptable, or if you disagree with them, refrain from using this Website and any Applications. These Terms of Service are subject to modification at our discretion without prior notification. For inquiries regarding these Terms of Service, feel free to reach out to our Support Center.
BY ENGAGING WITH THE WEBSITE, UTILIZING ANY APPLICATIONS, AND ACCESSING THE SERVICES, YOU CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD AND POSSESS THE LEGAL CAPACITY TO FORM A BINDING CONTRACT.
These Terms mandate resolving disputes through individual arbitration instead of jury trials or class actions, significantly restricting the remedies that may be available to you should a dispute arise, as detailed in the forthcoming Paragraph 6.
Furthermore, it's advised to consult the LegalityLink Terms of Service, Registered Agent Terms of Service, Additional Terms of Service for Subscriptions and Services provided by third parties, Legal Plan Agreement, and Privacy Policy. Each document is included by reference within these Terms.
LegalityLink.com operates as an online platform designed to offer users a foundational understanding of legal principles and to supply a software-based solution for individuals intent on drafting their own legal documents. The website presents basic information on legal issues that are frequently encountered. Additionally, LegalityLink's services encompass a review of your submissions for completeness, accuracy in spelling, and the internal consistency of details such as names and addresses. However, at no point do we assess your submissions for legal adequacy, nor do we offer legal advice, opinions, or recommendations regarding your legal rights, potential remedies, defenses, document selection, or strategic considerations, nor do we interpret legal principles as they might pertain to the specifics of your case. LegalityLink does not constitute a law firm and does not provide the professional services an attorney might offer. The services, forms, and templates provided by LegalityLink are not intended to replace professional legal advice or services.
LegalityLink makes every effort to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of its legal documents. However, due to the rapid evolution of laws, LegalityLink cannot assure that all content available on the Website or through the Applications reflects the most current legal standards. Laws vary across different regions and are open to various interpretations by courts. Legal matters are inherently personal, and the generic legal resources provided by LegalityLink may not be suitable for every unique situation. Additionally, the legal information offered on the Website and through the Applications does not constitute legal advice and may not always be accurate, complete, or up-to-date. Consequently, should you require legal guidance tailored to your specific situation, or if your issue is too intricate to be solved with our resources, we strongly advise consulting with a licensed attorney within your locality.
Occasionally, LegalityLink may facilitate access to legal professionals and introduce users to attorneys using various platforms, which include, but are not limited to, legal plan subscriptions, listings in third-party attorney directories, and agreements for limited legal services through third parties. It's important to understand that through such interactions, no attorney-client relationship is established or implied with LegalityLink.
The purpose of this Website and its Applications is not to forge any attorney-client bonds. Engaging with LegalityLink in no way constitutes the formation of an attorney-client relationship with us. Rather, you will act on your own behalf in any legal proceedings or document preparation initiated through LegalityLink's services.

RESOLUTION OF DISPUTES; MANDATORY ARBITRATION
PLEASE REVIEW THIS SECTION WITH ATTENTION AS IT MANDATES ARBITRATION FOR CERTAIN DISPUTES AND CLAIMS BETWEEN YOU AND LEGALITYLINK, LIMITING HOW RELIEF CAN BE SOUGHT FROM EACH OTHER, UNLESS YOU CHOOSE TO OPT OUT OF ARBITRATION FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS PROVIDED IN SECTION 6(g) BELOW. THIS ARBITRATION CLAUSE DOES NOT ALLOW FOR CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTIONS OR ARBITRATIONS.
(a) Exclusive Individual Resolution. You and LegalityLink concur that any disputes or claims arising between us, whether related to these Terms or our Services, are personal and must be resolved solely on an individual basis, not as a class arbitration, class action, or any other collective proceeding. This Arbitration Agreement encompasses “LegalityLink,” “you,” and “us,” including our subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, employees, predecessors, successors, and any authorized or unauthorized users or beneficiaries of services or products under these Terms or any prior agreements.
(b) Arbitration Process. Should there be any unresolved issues, our Customer Care Center aims to resolve them swiftly and to your satisfaction. If disputes remain unresolved informally, Section 6 becomes applicable. This excludes (i) individual claims in small claims court within your billing county or (ii) court actions for injunctive relief concerning intellectual property infringement or misappropriation. Both parties waive the right to a jury trial, agreeing instead to arbitrate disputes under this section. This includes a wide range of disputes related to these Terms, our Services, and other aspects of our relationship.
(c) Initiating Arbitration. To start the arbitration process, a written notice detailing the dispute must be sent to LegalityLink. Following an unsuccessful 30-day resolution attempt, either party may proceed to arbitration under the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) guidelines. Arbitration will occur in Los Angeles County, CA, unless you choose your residence county as a Consumer. The arbitration rules applied (AAA Consumer or Commercial) depend on your status as a Consumer and the dispute’s value.
(d) Arbitration Details. The arbitrator has exclusive authority to resolve procedural and substantive issues, including those related to the Arbitration Agreement itself. Arbitration is individual, barring consolidation of multiple parties’ claims.
(e) Confidentiality in Arbitration. Both parties commit to maintaining the confidentiality of information exchanged during arbitration, seeking protective orders as necessary.
(f) Arbitration Fees. The responsibility for arbitration fees depends on your status as a Consumer and the dispute’s value, with specific arrangements for covering these costs detailed herein.
(g) Opting Out of Arbitration. You have the option to opt out of arbitration within 30 days of agreement acceptance by providing written notice to LegalityLink, effectively choosing to resolve disputes as outlined in Section 19, under individual action conditions only.
(h) Severability and Enforcement. If parts of this Section 6 are found unenforceable, they will be severed, leaving the remainder in effect. Should arbitration be unfeasible, claims must be litigated in civil court, with collective claims stayed pending individual arbitration outcomes.
Public injunctive relief claims against LegalityLink must be litigated separately in court. The enforcement of arbitration awards falls under the jurisdiction of California state or federal courts, specifically within Los Angeles County.
- Supplementary Conditions.
Certain services provided by LegalityLink might be governed by additional guidelines, rules, or terms of service (“Supplementary Terms”), and your engagement with these services implies your acceptance of the Supplementary Terms. In instances where a discrepancy arises between these Terms of Use and the Supplementary Terms, the latter shall prevail with respect to that specific service unless explicitly stated otherwise in the Supplementary Terms.

If liability is established on the part of LegalityLink, it will be limited to the amount paid for the products and/or services, with no allowance for consequential or punitive damages.
